Zen’s mother Biznaga is still very fearful.

It is important to remember that our animals have come from situations of extreme abuse or neglect. For many years, they have constantly been expecting the worst. Thus, when Biznaga gave birth, she carried on seeing imaginary enemies all over the place and she would not leave poor Zen alone for even a second.

However, from day one, we realised that he was different. Regardless of what was happening around him, he never lost his cool. Zen is very inquisitive with high self-esteem. He has a lot of confidence in himself and trusts us completely.

He knows that nobody will do him any harm and when people come in his paddock, he looks at them with a slight air of superiority. As if to say: “Who are you? What are you doing here? This is my home…”

However, once he knows you, he becomes really playful and mischievous.
