Read the story of Sabinillas

Sabinillas is part of a trio we call “Las Embrujadas” (the enchanted ones).

Although not all blood related, their shared experiences have made them a family.

Sabanillas is a good-natured, observant and peaceful mare, though her movements can sometimes be rather abrupt. This is because she is still fearful.

When we first saw her, she was living in a kind of garage with waste up to her belly. It was pitch black in there and when a neighbour threw a handful of feed towards the horses, they jumped on it, endangering all of us who were there at the time.

They could not help it, they had possibly gone for months with hardly any food.

We do not want to go into more detail, we simply cannot understand how humans can believe they have the right to treat other beings this way…
