Perla is one of our favourite rogues. She is known for terrorising volunteers.

This little pony is a prime example of how some humans do not know how to treat animals properly.

In good faith, we put Perla up for adoption when she was very young. Although she was well looked after (we were sent photos of her at a beautiful home), it appeared that her adoptive family did not try and train her properly.

When she started behaving like a “tiger”, biting and kicking the family, they sent her back here without a second thought.

They never told us they were having problems with her, even though our adoption contract stated that we would help with anything our animals may have needed.

Thanks to our beloved pony Baballoo, who treats her calmly, respectfully and firmly, Perla seems to be becoming more sociable now.
