Volunteer at the shelter

Do you want to help in the shelter?

Thank you for offering your help. It is very valuable to us.

Before filling out the Volunteer Form, please keep the following points in mind:

  • The work is hard, but rewarding; you’ll be eager to return after your first day.
  • We appreciate it if you’ve had some contact with horses before, as the ones at the Sanctuary are vulnerable and need special care.
  • Your tasks here will be fifty-fifty: half cuddles, grooming, and special moments with the horses; and half cleaning and maintaining the facilities, because thanks to that work they can truly be well cared for and happy.
  • It is crucial that you follow the team’s instructions to avoid risks and accidents.
  • You must attend a guided tour beforehand to learn about the Sanctuary and the work we do. This way, you will know if this is really what you want to do.
  • You must have your own vehicle; public transportation does not reach the shelter.
  • A strong commitment on your part is essential for good organization. You must be able to come in at least one day a week and provide advance notice if you are unable to attend on a given day.
  • Complete the form below, indicating your available schedule, and we will contact you to arrange it.
If you only feel really comfortable in English, please let us know in the language section, so we can arrange the best time for you and have someone who speaks English with you during the first few days, and everything goes smoothly.

Note: Sponsorship is a type of support that involves regular donations. Therefore, payment will be automatically renewed on an ANNUAL or MONTHLY basis (depending on the chosen method), unless you inform us that you want to cancel your donation, which we will do immediately. If you choose the annual sponsorship method, the payment will be charged every year in the same month in which the first payment was charged. If you decide to cancel your sponsorship, it is VERY IMPORTANT to inform us of the cancellation in advance, otherwise the bank will continue to charge us the payment fee as well as a penalty for the refund. You just need to send us an email to request your cancellation. Thank you.

    May
