Jazmín was in foal when we rescued her.

A few months later, a beautiful filly was born at our rescue centre. We named her Gaia.

They are both very beautiful. Over time, Jazmín has turned into a big, strong and noble mare. A complete change from the emaciated and terrified animal we first encountered.

Jazmin’s story is all too common. Many dealers buy animals and keep them is a sort of semi-abandoned state until someone sees something special in one of them, or simply takes pity on them.

Many die during this process. Here in Málaga, the local authorities often do not seem to care.

When we went to the Marbella Town Hall with SEPRONA and explained the situation, they just looked the other way as they have done many times before.
