Gaia was born at Every Horse in the World, at around the same time as Kathy.

Thankfully, neither of them knows what it is like to be abused. However, they probably learned about this from their mothers who would have died had we not rescued them in time.

This was a very tough case, with lots of animals involved and an owner who did not want to give them up even though they were dying. In addition, the local authorities in Marbella just kept looking the other way, despite the increasing risk of the horses breaking down the fence and getting onto the Málaga-Cádiz motorway in search of food and water.

Nevertheless, that was a long time ago and Gaia now lives happily and peacefully at our animal sanctuary.

She is still young and we think she is princess who deserves to be treated with all the love and respect in the world. We are looking for the right person to do this.
